Studio Door China is an international network of dealers - galleries and art advisors - who wish to expand their activity in the Chinese contemporary art market.

SDC provides member dealers with a larger inventory and wider range of quality contemporary Chinese artwork than is practical in a bricks-and-mortar gallery alone, and offers online knowledge resources to support members' presentation of those works to their collectors. Studio Door China is the founding sponsor of ArtSpeak China, the online encyclopedia of contemporary Chinese art. From that and other experience, we have come to understand the needs of the artists, gallerists, advisors, and collectors in the rapidly evolving contemporary Chinese art market - and how to help dealers use today's technology in a practical way to expand their activities. We do this in two ways:

First, Studio Door China's online presentation platform offers members with access to a range of artworks from twenty-one emerging and established contemporary Mainland artists selected in consultation with renowned curator Feng Boyi and Deputy Director of the Shanghai Art Museum Zhang Qing. These artists are represented directly by Studio Door China.

Second, SDC offers a platform for member galleries to present their own inventory. Dealers have long picked up the phone or met to discuss bringing the artwork of one to the client of the other. Studio Door allows members to make those connections quickly and efficiently worldwide. And we plan shortly to have sub-sites available to members, branded with their own graphic or logo, enabling them to present Studio Door China artworks as an extension of their own collection.

We recognize the essential role which reputable dealers play in the selection of artworks by collectors and are committed to working only with established gallerists and art consultants. As a business-to-business undertaking, Studio Door does not promote itself to the public. We keep our member list private and invite galleries to join the network based on reputation and personal referrals. There is no fee for membership or for listing artworks.
